I’ve only been doing this blogging for ONE single day.
I’m excited about this opportunity to make a lot of money, and do it without a lot of hassles.
If you’re a friend of mine you know I am promoting two or three things.
I’m a copywriter, I sell a product called Sealogica, which is without a doubt the best way to take care of yourself and your family without a huge expensive bill.
I know I love what I do, and I love blogging.
http://www.drcarney.sealogica.com/
Right now I’m half done with this portion of my blogging. I’ve done close to ONE HUNDRED words, I’ve used my name, Dr. Carney before in the blog, so it’s a pretty nice way of sayinng, “If this is going to work, we have to get the numbers up there.”
and that’s exactly what I plan to do.
I may not make millions but I’m good at $50K a month and I’m going to San Diego, CA for the big event in a few weeks. I’m not sure about motivation, but if they can tell me something else that’s as easy as this blogging daily, I’m IN.
I’m sitting here, at home, in my shorts, and I’m looking at the counter.
207 words.
That means, I’m done for this segment .
I wish you the best, and keep posting and blogging.
Dr. Carney
Oh yeah, I have a new blog.
If you read this, then you'll be going to the new one which I'll be copy and pasting to this one.
Why?
The other one, will be making me money.
Check it out...
www.empowernetwork.com/doccarney
I'M SURE IT WILL OPEN YOUR EYES AS TO HOW YOU CAN MAKE MONEY.
TALK THEN.
I also have another...which I mentioned above, so I'm doing something to try and make more money, help more people, and have more fun.

It's About Time
Yeah guess what?
It's Tuesday.
That might not mean a lot to you
but it does to me.
I'm alive, I'm healthy, I'm not
in some institution for dying,
and I look pretty darn good, so
I feel good about being here today.
How about you?
Hey I'm looking at an article here
and I thought, (since my friend
prompted me)why not write about
this and share it.
So here we go.
Count Your Blessings
Listing the positive things in your life
is such an powerful mood-enhancer that
it helped depressed patients get a significant
emotional LIFE.
The reason?
It provided a surge in feel-good brain
chemicals and gives you the energy and
motivation to pursue your goals.
Now how cool is that.
Now you can do two things.
You can sit on your butt and do nothing,
or
You can pick up a pen, right now, and
do it.
Yeah just write down the positive things
in your life.
You think about the others too much, so yeah,
pick up a pen and do it.
Right now.
Hey I'm here to coach you into being something
you may never have been without this blog, so
yeah, Pick up the pen, and write.
I'll wait.
Okay you done?
Oh okay, I'll wait a little longer.
Scroll down when you're done.
I'm waiting.
Okay you done?
Great.
You should feel a lot better now.
I do.
Well if you want me to write more, tell me by
emailing me at galestargate@yahoo.com
Talk soon,
Dr. Carney
P.S. If you can't pick up a pen and do this,
you should not be reading this blog.
PERIOD.

HOly cOw I'm BACK! (like Arnold)
ATTENTION:
I'm posting again.
I did a post yesterday but I think I forgot
to PUBLISH IT.
Oh well, I'll try this again.
What I've found out by not staying POSTED is
that this blogger site has changed it's format.
ewwww.
I don't like it, but me being who I am, means
I can't change it.
So with this post I'm going to experiment.
That's right, experiment.
I mean who else want's to hear about Dr. Carney?
I know I know, you do, but I'm talking about other
people.
Not you silly.
You should be sending me plenty of people, but you're
not.
why not?
who knows?
But
I'm still going to post.
Dr. Carney

Just for giggles and grins
Yes, this is my second post
for the day.
I kind of screwed up the first one
today as it only had 183 words in it
and my goal is 200 words per post.
I know it's almost April 15th and
if you're anyone, and you make any
money, you know what that date means.
I hate the date, not because of the date
but of what it means.
And I think I'm allowed to say that in
print.
Anyway, here's my point.
If you want to get in front of people you
have to get inside their brain and connect
with what's going on with that... at that
specific time.
So...
What is going on April 15th.
Aren't most people aware of this?
Yes they are, and even if they're not
paying their taxes, they know what April
15th means to millions of Americans.
So here's the tricky part.
I have a source, a printer if you will that
will print you envelopes and the insert and
mail it for you.
The cost?
$2.00/piece but that includes everything.
Yes everything.
So all you do is supply them with your list
of patients/clients, and they'll mail it out
for you.
Doesn't get any easier than that does it?
And your patients/clients will definitely
OPEN this mailing piece.
When they do they're going to remember you.
I think I could go to any local restaurant and
sell them this piece and they'd have plenty of
people coming to their restaurant to buy their
food.
In fact, I'd almost guarantee it.
But if you're interested in pursing this,
tell me you're ready, and tell me how many pieces
you want them to print up.
I'll get you a quote and you will be off to the
races. Simple as that.
Have a great day.

Finally...
Okay
Today is Tuesday
April 10th, 2012
My goal today.
To write 5, yes 5 posts.
I know that may sound hard, but
in all honesty, it's not.
If you can type, it's easy.
All you have to do is let people
in on your inner thoughts, and I
know there are a lot of them in
there, inside your brain.
These are mine.
I was working on making millions
with Dinars, but that more or less
fell through, but hey, it's not
the end of the world.
I just keep going.
If one thing doesn't work, I just
move to the next.
Oh yeah, as always, my goals when
writing this is to give you some
insights as to why it's smart to market
yourself to your community.
I did get the constant contact thing going
and WOW, I actually got 243 opens and about
10 doctors replied.
That means people are reading my emails.
So with that said, I'm going to cut this
off right here, and check the number of
words that I wrote.
Talk next time.

Marketing Thought
12:52 PM
Ideas are coming.
And I'm still checking my blog for
posts.
I'm still thinking... I don't have that
many...
oops... someone called.
So I'm going to go back to the drawing board
and come back and write some more later.

Stats don't lie.
These are my stats.
I was noticing them today.
If you'll look closely, when I started
my blog in 2010, I didn't blog much.
I remember writing my first blog.
My brother told me the more I used
my name, the higher the ranking.
Well they threw that blog out, so I
gave up.
Big mistake.
Now I understand blogging and I actually
love to do it.
What I noticed with my stats was this.
Each year I am adding more value and I'm
doing more blogging.
I only had 30 entries for 2010.
Then I jumped to 229 in 2011.
And as of today, I have 37 for 2012
I should have 90 by now, but when I do five
a day, it makes a huge difference.
One of my goals for 2012 was to have 365
entries by the end of the year, so stay
tuned.
I'm going to have more than 365 entries this
year.
Promise.

My Last Email
That was the headline in a recent
email I got from this person.
The headline was great, but I hate
getting something that looks personal,
and then they try and sell me or just
give me something.
Relationships are everything.
If people know you, they'll open your
emails.
If they don't know you, they MIGHT open
your email, then do nothing with it.
Here's this guys' email.
I don't know him from Adam, but I'm
going to use it as an example here to
teach you HOW not to do it.
--------------------
Hey,
I just want to give you a heads up
that this will be my final email
about this download.

Alan
--------------------
Problem is I don't know Alan
from Adam.
I'm sure you understand.
Yeah his stuff might get some people
to opt in and then again, I think about
a radio interview I heard the other day
and the interviewee said, "I never opt in
or open a link from anyone."
That stops SPAM and them getting your
vital info and even accessing your bank
account or credit cards.
So I'm pretty careful.
Here's my point.
Develop relationships with people, then sell
them something.
If you're sending them emails, make them good,
well written emails.
Give them content before you ever ask for
something in return.
They have to get to know you.
That's a real secret that most marketers don't
understand. They just come at you and say, "Hey
pay attention. I'm selling you something and I
want money."
Don't work now and won't work later.
That's the lesson for the day.

I think I'm on a roll... I think I am anyway
I'm starting off a little different on this post.
I'm counting my words, to make sure, I go over
the 200 mark and still give you some content.
You know sometimes I write about my day.
Other times I just write about what I'm thinking.
So you never know what I'm going to post.
I like Marie because she has some good stuff.
Not always about herself but she relates to a
certain crowd... and niche... so it's all
good.
Marketing to me is developing relationships
with people. I've tried and tried to get my
clients to understand that the best way to
have me as a coach is to call me, not text
me, or email me, but call me.
I must like to talk on the phone, but I will
say this... when I talk to you as a client,
you get your money's worth.
I come up with some good ideas and they are
implementable that day, so hey, if you're a
client of mine, call me.
Then I know you're taking advantage of the
situation and making money.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed the video from
Marie.
She's cool.
Talk later.
Dr. Carney
HERE IT IS
Well it's now 7:48 AM
I've been up since about 7 AM
and I'm starting my day off by blogging.
I have not got into a rhythm yet as far
as doing the five blogposts per day, but
I'm working on that.
It may be best for me to do the five in
the AM or late at night when ever all
the things in my life for that day have
happened.
I'm not sure yet.
One thing about me and this blog is my thoughts
are put on paper.
You'll notice that I just talk to you in
the blog post and I'm not really writing,
I'm just conveying my thoughts, as fast as
my fingers will put them on the screen.
And I hope that's the 200 words I need. lol
Here's the amounts for the killer drink I promised.
If you don't try it you'll never know how good it
is. And seriously I NEVER EVER thought in a million
years that I'd LIKE raw eggs. Yuck, right?
Cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon
Flax seed oil 2 Tablespoons
Almond Milk 2 cups
Chia seeds 2 Tablespoons
Organic eggs 2
Protein whey powder (New Zealand) 2 scoops
There you have it.
The perfect drink to start your day.
You know this is what I call a marketing blog, but
a lot of times I think it's a diary of what's going
on in my life. I should have this stuff on FACEBOOK
but I don't care to share this with anyone other than
you ... here.
Hey make the drink today.
Let me know what you think.
It's awesome.
Good things will happen to you when you take good care
of your body.
All the best.

Dr. Carney
I'm posting this again...
Here's a post I recently put on my blog.
It's not long, but oh it has a lot of
good stuff in it. It was so good, (in my
opinion, I reposted it today.)
I went back and checked the number of words
on my last five posts. (Yes that's the real
secret to making it happen when you need to.)
And I have to tell you, I didn't make the
200 words on two of them so I'm writing
this one.
As an added enhancer.
Anyway, I'm going to tell you about a great
mailer I came across a few days ago. (If you
want to get more business, or connect with
more people, this is a perfect way to do it.)
It looks like an IRS return check. (I have a
imagine of it if you want me to send it to you
by FAX.)
Which I thought was pretty cool.
I'm trying to get a doctor to do it and this
way we can promote his office, which I will
learn from when I open mine.
I think I'm going to go check on the office
tomorrow, and if everything goes well, I'd
love to open that office within the next
month.
I'm not sure if I can do that with them, but I'm
going to try.
Oh I want to tell you about the drink that I
created tonight.
It cost me about $45 dollars to get the
INGREDIENTS:
Cinnamon
Flax seed oil
Chocolate Almond Milk
Chia seeds
Organic eggs
Protein whey powder (New Zealand)
But oh, after Bela showed me how to make this
amazing drink, I have to say, it was definitely
something I wanted to have so I could fix it for
myself.
It was definitely amazing.
Really good.
When you can take 2 raw eggs and make it taste good,
I think you've done what is necessary.
I love the drink.
Don't forget. You have to get the right components to
make it work. I have them listed above, just not the
amounts. That's a secret as well.
Anyway, I think I'm way over 200 words on this post.
(I have to be since this came from another post and
I just added some extra comments.)
Dr. Carney
P.S. I'll give you the components amounts in the next
blogpost. That way you have to make sure you read it.
It's not long, but oh it has a lot of

LIFE is flying by.
More or less I guess I should say,"Time
if flying by."
I've always said, "Life is going to go by
whether you participate or not."
Dr. Carney
By that I mean that you can do what you
need to do to be a success, or you can just
be one of the people that never do anything.
You'll live either way, but the quality of
life will be determined by the way you live
your life.
I received an email from someone I opted into
and here's what I found.
I thought it was great, and if you listen real close
you learn that LIFE and living a good LIFE isn't
really that complicated.
I mean you can more or less have what you WANT if
you don't eat that marshmallow all the time.
It's not a hard concept, it's not complicated,
and it's easy, but as you know, LIFE isn't always
that easy... but so what.
Just do it.
I would make sure that you copy this site and make
sure you listen to this at least once a month.
That will keep you focused and driven.
I don't care if you're 18 or 72 years old, LIFE
can be FUN, FULFILLING, and ADVENTUROUS. (If I spelled
that wrong, I don't care. I am not worried about my
spelling right now, I'm more concerned that you get
the concept from the video.)
Well I'm a little more focused myself right now.
Things are moving along, and I'm going to have
a GREAT YEAR.
How about you.
As always I'm working toward posting at least
five of these a day, and honestly, it's not
hard to do that, but it's hard to get started.
Well let's see if I get 5 of them done today.
Dr. Carney
P.S. Like I said, stay focused and watch this
video more than once until it becomes a part of
your inner FIBER. I wish you the best.

Well it's done.
I went back and checked the number of words
on my last five posts.
And I have to tell you, I didn't make the
200 words on two of them so I'm writing
this one.
As an added enhancer.
Anyway, I'm going to tell you about a great
mailer I came across a few days ago.
It looks like an IRS return check.
Which I thought was pretty cool.
I'm trying to get Dr. Ron to do it and this
way we can promote his office, which I will
learn from when I open mine.
I think I'm going to go check on the office
tomorrow, and if everything goes well, I'd
love to open that office within the next
month.
I'm not sure if I can do that with them, but I'm

Oh yeah, Duane said he found tickets for $25 bucks.
That would be a deal even for NHRA, especially this late
just before the races this weekend.
So I am definitely going.
Well I'm going to call the bank tomorrow and check on
some things. Should be a good call.
Anyway, I think I'm way over 200 words on this post.
We'll see.
Have a great life, whenever this is read if it's ever

Belive it or not
I know this is crazy but I'm going
to reach my goal of five posts in
20 minutes.
Now I know how to write them and I
know how long to allot for doing it
and with just 20 minutes into this,
I've actually written five new posts.
This is the last one.
I'm moving along well and I'm sure I
can finish this one in record time.
I have 2:40 left so I should be able
to crank out the last one and do it in
enough time to make sure that I have the
five posts.
I told you the secret in a different post.
I'm sure you read it, but if you did not,
you should.
Go back and read it.
It'll help you make money.
I have the TV on, and I should have shut it
off, but I didn't.
I have to call duane back and talk to him about
his trip for Las Vegas.
I'm going to love making that trip.
Yeah right.
The drive will be good, but I'll meet him in
Las Vegas and then it's off to the races.

Well I better call it good.

Had a great idea for business
11:26 PM
Temecula, CA
Hey I've got a thought on opening
up a STRESS, WEIGHT LOSS, NEUROPATHY
clinic and have someone run it.
My plans are this.
See 25 patients a day.
Make a couple thousand a day.
Pay the help, pay the rent, and make
some money when I'm not even there.
That will be a great investment, as the
rent will run about $1,500, but even with
that rent, I can see 10 people a day.
Doing that will make me say about $900 a day.
If I can see 10 people, that would be right at
say $1,000 a day, and I'll be open 5.5 days
a week.
That's about $20,000 for a month, and expenses
would be around $4,500 a month, so I could
pocket about $15,000 a month, which would be
a great addition to my income.
Well I have more or less figured out how to do
all of this on a shoestring budget and may
franchise these centers later.
More in the next post.

You have to think about this
What am I talking about?
WRITING.
Yeah writing.
I'm also day dreaming about the money
I could make if everything goes well in
the next few months.
Not many people know about sea veggies,
but I have to say, I'm impressed with
the way they work and the ease in taking
them.
They are amazing and very affordable.
I had a brain fart just now.
I'm writing at a pretty quick pace and
all of a sudden, I lose it.
I mean I was going to write something but
for some reason that thought, or those
thoughts just went away.
Duane is considering coming to Las Vegas and
us going to the races.
Well we'll see.
I have to check Southwest as soon as I'm done
with this post, or the next two.
I was very happy by the results of the college
basketball game today when KU beat NC.
Great game and again, couldn't believe that
they won, but they did great.
Also watched Celebrity Apprentice.
Crazy show.
Tomorrow I talk to Rex about parts for the car.
Need to talk to Jason as well about the tags.
Anyway, I'll tell you more in the next post.
All the best.

Well hello again.
If you're reading this you've probably
read my last few posts or at least the
last one.
Well things have been better.
I've been struggling with the money
issues, but that's just because of the
car issues.
I know so many people that get by, that is
until they have CAR PROBLEMS.
When that happens, all hell breaks loose.
I mean having a car is like having a money
pit, a deep money pit.
If you're smart, you have some money put
away for a rainy day.
And yeah it did rain here today.
And when I took Gina Marie outside just a
few minutes ago, it was coming down pretty well.
So...
I'll tell you about the secret to losing weight
in the next post.
Talk then.
This should be about say 170-200 words.
I'm sure of it.

It's Late
Okay,
It's about 11:14 PST
Sunday
I'm going to write five blog posts
and I'm going to do it in less than
say 20 minutes.
\
I just set the timer and I'm going to see
if I can actually write five of these
posts like one of my mentors has told me
to do.
when I got up this morning the sun
was shining.
It was a nice day.
Not a lot of wind.
Lots of sunshine and a beautiful day.
My iPhone said rain, but I didn't see
that happening.
Well I hate to say this but the iPhone
info was right on.
I'm also dealing with the car and the expenses,
and my future trip to Las Vegas.
I'll probably be doing some work there, but
for the most part, I'll be doing some work
for Erich and going to the races.
I'll write more about what I'll be doing
in the next post.
I'm not even going to check my word count

I'm not sure
I'm not sure but I think...
I wrote five posts in less than fifteen
minutes.
How did I do that.
I just put my thoughts on paper.
You know someone, and I can't remember who
told me years after my mother died that she
told them that I was going to become a writer.
Now here's the deal.
She never said anything to me about me becoming
a writer. Nothing. Zilch. Nada.
Not that her saying that would have made any
difference to a young guy, but she never said
anything like that.
I do remember her spending time teaching me
how to WRITE. You know, WRITE letters so my hand
writing was like a woman's.
I've had numerous people tell me my handwriting
looks like a woman's and not a doctor's.
And now I have to agree with that. I can out write
most woman, and make my handwriting much 'prettier'
than theirs.
Hey, I just do what I do.
I'm not bragging, I'm just telling you what I think.
That's one thing you'll find out about me when I write
at this speed is, I tell you what's going on inside
my brain. It just flows.
Well I'm getting the feeling I'm reaching my quota for
the day, so I'd better slow my roll and get this thing
posted.
We'll talk next time.
When?
I don't know but soon.

Things just happen for a reason.
7:22 am
Well I checked on the last post.
I hit it on the head almost perfectly.
The last post was 208 words.
Not bad.
I thought I'd be around 250, but that's just
because I was writing to be writing, and I
really didn't have anything I was trying to
convey to you, other than the number of words.
Well let me give you an UP on that.
Writing is fun if you can tell someone something
about you in a story.
People love stories and they love to hear the
crap that is going on in your life.
I mean I've bought a car, and now I'm working
on getting it to the fastest street car status.
Will I do it?
I'm not sure.
Will it work for me?
Yes it will.
I'm going to get some press and I talked with a
woman named Lisa last night and she told me that
her EX is a photographer and he's a good contact
for getting me in a magazine.
Woohoo.
I liked that.
(Now I'm always thinking 200 words so I have to
be careful.)
Anyway, that's my thoughts right now.
I'll comment on more later.
The dogs are doing well and they're quiet.
Good stuff.
I need to take the boys out now so that's my
goal now.
Get the boys out and take the trash out as well
since it's Friday.
Talk next time.

Revelation
Well I did it.
I took my last post, the one before this one,
and I wanted to find out if I'm on target to
write five posts of 200 words each.
And guess what?
I was at 225 words, so I know this is not going
to be that hard.
In fact I'm thinking, "What if I could talk these
into my iMac and have it transcribe them for me,
I'd be way ahead of the game.
(I'm going to check this one as well and find out
how many words I write this time. I think if I can
get a feel for the length, I'll be able to write about
200 words in my sleep.)
I have been told my my marketing email gooroo that
350 words is a good email length, so this is going
to be really easy now.
Well I better log off and get this one in the mail.
You'll notice that when I'm pushing five of these posts
out the copy is totally different than when I'm just
writing to someone and talking to them through print.
Anyway, I'll give you the length of words in the next
post. I am thinking about 250 words. Let's see.

WRITING ADS
Hey,
this is my third post for the day.
I'm thinking I should write these in the morning so
I can get my juices flowing.
So that's what I'm doing.
I was listening to the traffic professor and he said
"You have to write at least five of these puppies a
day to get some rankings" and I've tried to write five.
I have no problem writing them, when I think about it.
This is one of those times.
If I set a schedule to do it, I can but if I don't, I
won't. Go figure.
So my advice to you today is this.
Set a time, and meet that schedule everyday, no matter
what it is you're trying to do.
People are basically lazy.
They think they have forever to live.
They don't.
Their life is being chipped away at everyday and
then most of them just sit around and don't do
anything to improve their lives.
I was watching a video and there was this man,
Jon Morrow.
He's in a wheelchair and he's telling you he's making
money, millions at one time and he's done it all from
his wheelchair.
Well I'm going to end this and continue it later, as I
want to get my five posts in for the day.
Talk on the next post.

Dr. Carney
You wonder where the yellow went...
Headlines.
That's what I'm going to talk about today.
Headlines.
I was reading a recent article, newsletter let's say
from Ben Settles.
He's a great writer in my opinion and someone you
should study if you're going to write emails like
I do for a living.
I don't usually tell people my sources, because I've
had to spend money to get them, but today I'm feeling
pretty good after writing my last post about David O.
If you haven't read it yet, you should read it now.
Anyway...
Headlines are important. I hope you read this post's
headline.
I don't know why I wrote that one, but someimtes it's
all about timing and what you as a writer are thinking about.
I must have been thinking about ads and toothpaste
etc to write that but there it is.
When I think about it I can write some killer headlines
and when you read books about marketing and advertising
you find out that everyone works on the headlines first.
I do it and so do the best copywriters.
Well here a couple on me.
"Make money the easy way and never worry about
paying taxes."
"Why you can't make money sitting on your ass, but
you can if you just have a simple idea and act on it."
Now out of those two, which one is best?
I'll leave it up to you and you can write me your
comments.
Thanks, and have a great day.

What Would David Do?
March 23, 2012
Temecula, CA
I was searching the internet today and
I ran across this article that someone else
mentioned and since it has a lot of value,
I thought I'd copy and paste it and let you
read it.
It's not too long, but it's only for people
that want to make money with their advertising
and marketing dollars.
Here it is. I'll make some comments throughout
the post, so be looking for my comments.
Okay here we go.
British-born David Ogilvy was one of the
original, and greatest, "ad men."
In 1948, he started what would eventually be known
as Ogilvy & Mather, the Manhattan-based advertising agency
that has since been responsible for some of the
world's most iconic ad campaigns, and in 1963 he
even wrote Confessions of an Advertising Man, the
best-selling book that is still to this day
considered essential reading for all who enter the
industry. I have the book but I've never read it
completely.
Time magazine called him "the most
sought-after wizard in today's advertising
industry" in the early-'60s; his name, and that of
his agency, have been mentioned more than once in
Mad Men for good reason.
And with my background you would think I would
have watched the show, but sadly I have not.
With all that in mind, being able to learn of his
routine when producing the very ads that made his
name is an invaluable opportunity.
You see, and invaluable opportunity that you and I
are both missing out on.
The fascinating letter below, written by Ogilvy in
1955 to a Mr. Ray Calt, offers exactly that.

Selection of His Writings from the Files of His
Partners; Image: David Ogilvy, courtesy of Ads of
the World.)
April 19, 1955
Dear Mr. Calt:
On March 22nd you wrote to me asking for some
notes on my work habits as a copywriter. They are
appalling, as you are about to see:
1. I have never written an advertisement in
the office. Too many interruptions. I do all my
writing at home.
2. I spend a long time studying the
precedents. I look at every advertisement which
has appeared for competing products during the
past 20 years.
3. I am helpless without research
material—and the more "motivational" the better.
4. I write out a definition of the problem
and a statement of the purpose which I wish the
campaign to achieve. Then I go no further until
the statement and its principles have been
accepted by the client.
5. Before actually writing the copy, I write
down every conceivable fact and selling idea. Then
I get them organized and relate them to research
and the copy platform.
6. Then I write the headline. As a matter of
fact I try to write 20 alternative headlines for
every advertisement. And I never select the final
headline without asking the opinion of other
people in the agency. In some cases I seek the
help of the research department and get them to do
a split-run on a battery of headlines.
7. At this point I can no longer postpone the
actual copy. So I go home and sit down at my desk.
I find myself entirely without ideas. I get
bad-tempered. If my wife comes into the room I
growl at her. (This has gotten worse since I gave
up smoking.)
8. I am terrified of producing a lousy
advertisement. This causes me to throw away the
first 20 attempts.
9. If all else fails, I drink half a bottle
of rum and play a Handel oratorio on the
gramophone. This generally produces an
uncontrollable gush of copy.
10. The next morning I get up early and edit
the gush.
11. Then I take the train to New York and my
secretary types a draft. (I cannot type, which is
very inconvenient.)
12. I am a lousy copywriter, but I am a good
editor. So I go to work editing my own draft.
After four or five editings, it looks good enough
to show to the client. If the client changes the
copy, I get angry—because I took a lot of trouble
writing it, and what I wrote I wrote on purpose.
Altogether it is a slow and laborious
business. I understand that some copywriters have
much greater facility.
Yours sincerely,
D.O.
As you can tell, he WORKED at being a good writer
and a great advertising man.
Writing copy is not easy.
I sit at my computer for hours, and sometimes I see
the sun come up and then see it leave the mountains
whince it came.
Boring is not the word for me.
Passion is.
I am always searching for the one magical item or thing
that will make ME standout above my peers. I sometimes
am like David. I am a recluse to a certain extent and I
hate being bothered because of interruptions that send me
through the roof. No one understands a copywriter, and no
one understands me.
When I play I play. When I don't play, I don't.
Simple as that.
Enjoy your day and I hope you've learned something.

I got it
What I think I'll do is this.
Do about one of these about every two hours
I think that is reasonable and I think
it's something I can do.
I usually need a small break between
projects and right now I have a few on
my plate, so I better get busy and start
doing more of the projects as well as more of
these posts.
I have some really cool stuff coming down the
pike as far as money making opportunities, and
I think by the end of the year I should be making
some serious money, considering it will all be on
auto pilot.
should be able to crank out at least about
$25,000 a month and not even pick up any
hard hours. By that I mean trading my time
which is very valuable for dollars.
I hate doing that and if you're doing it,
stop it.
Have a great evening. It'll be awesome
tomorrow.
Oh yeah it's supposed to rain on Sat and Sun
so I need to make sure to enjoy my time with
the sun tomorrow.
If I'm not blogging during the day, I'll hit it
late at night like this.
Have a great and safe day.

One More
Oh yeah, check this out.
I went back and looked at
my stats for the year.
I said I was going to do
365 posts in 2012.
Now I'm saying I'm going to
do closer to 1,500 posts in
2012 and as of today I only have
18 for the entire year of 2012
and it's already March, so I'd
say I'm pretty far behind.
Now I have the magic number (by that
I mean the number of words I'm supposed
to use in each post).
It's not high, but now I kind of see
what's going on and how easy it is
to reach that goal.
I just found out that you break it
down into the smaller numbers and then
just sit back and wait, because it's going
to happen.
Yes it is.
Enjoy the posts because they are going to
be shorter, but more intense and focused.
If you're ready to learn about marketing,
and what it takes to be RICH, successful, and
happy, you've come to the right blog.
Mine.
This is Dr. Carney
signing off.
See you next post.

Time is slipping away.
Hey it's 10:49 PM
It's THursday,
and I'm writing a post
for you.
I was at a meeting, a mastermind
meeting on Wednesday.
Well guess what?
Here's what I learned.
How are you seizing your day?
because guess what...
If you live, and that is debatable,
to age 86, that means... you have
about 31, 026 days to live from
birth until death.
do the math.
That means, you don't want to waste
your time in front of TV, or doing some
thing you hate to do.
Time and days go way to fast to do things
like that.
Sure TV programs are great, but remember
if you live to be 85, you're only allowed
just a little over 31,000 days to live, so
you might want to reevaluate your priorities.
Take some action today and do something fast.
Talk soon.

I don't know about this
10:33 PM
Yeah it's that time again.
Now I told you earlier that I'd
had a great epiphany.
I was going to write more.
At the beginning of the year,
I said I was going to have at
least one of these blogs per day,
everyday for 365 days.
Well I've changed that number.
As of today, I want to have four or five
blog posts like this a day.
Yeah 5 a day.
Unbelieveable?
Yes.
But can I do it?
YES I can.
but that being the point...
here's a funny little video
Enjoy.

Wow,
You're not going to believe this.
I was searching the internet last
night and low and behold I find this
preacher that has gotten over 1,000,000
unique visitors to his blog.
So I click on his video.
I find out that his system sells for
something like $900 bucks or something
like that but I am a buyer, so I buy
his course on how to get over a million
unique visitors to your website.
Now that might not mean much to you.
But let me just say this.
If you're a blogger, or a business person
you want as many people going to your website
everyday that you can get there.
That's the truth.
I mean if you're reading this, you know
that I like comments and I like people that
read my website, blog, etc.

Yeah it's SATURDAY
I know it's Saturday but I was up
at 6 am.
the dogs, Dodi, Calli, Gina, Jack and Sammy
decided it was in my best interest to get up
and so... here I am.
I know it's only 7:30 am but I wanted to let
you know that I'm going to go to a Rod Run
today in Temecula.
I just wrote a piece on marketing which really
drove home the point that wordsmithing is very
important when you're writing.
But that's another story.
Hey I'll let you know what happens at the Rod Run,
as I'm getting a Nova ready to be the fastest
street car in California, so I'll keep you
updated.
Talk later.

I have been out of the proverbial loop?
Hey
Hi again.
I know I know, I've been gone.
But hey you haven't sent me any
advice or links lately either so
don't blame me.
Anyway, a friend of mine sent me
this video.
it's all about marketing.
Can you do this?
Bet you can't.
If you can. . . then you're going
to make a lot of money.
No kidding.
Enjoy.
Headed to Palm Springs and the heat.
Woohoo.

I'm here because I'm not on FACEBOOK
It's true.
Today is February 09, 2012
and I'm writing you a blogpost
because.... a friend of mine
reminded me that I am supposed
to write one of these...
everyday...
and as always, if you're not
focused on doing it everyday
which I haven't been, you don't.
Same with your goals.
You have to stay focused.
I love watching good videos,
and this one is now one of my
favorites.
Watch it then tell me why you
think I LOVE this Video.
I think you'll know as soon as you
do. Oh yeah, I could send you pictures of
my current car but you might not think
it's that great so I'm going to hold
off on that.
lol
Anyway talk next time.
Boy am I getting forgetful.

Friday, January 27, 2012
Oh yeah, I'm back.
If you want a sure-fire way of being perceived as a boring speaker, then make sure you never move your body at all!
Huh?
Of course, I am assuming your goal is not to be perceived as a boring speaker, so you should do your best to use appropriate physical movement in your speech.
Don't move.
What is “physical movement”? It is exactly what it sounds like: how you move your body as you speak.
This encompasses a few things:
1. Whether and how you walk around the stage
2. How you use your arms and hands
3. How you move your body when not walking (swaying, leaning, hunching over, etc)
4. Your posture
5. How you position and move your head
For the purpose of this blog, we’ll leave out facial expressions.
Those will be covered later, if I can write that much again.
Many speakers, especially newer ones, spend a majority of their time focused on the words they need to say. I do. They may spend a little time thinking about how they will deliver those words (volume, tone, pitch, variety, etc). Physical movement is one of the last things they think of, if they think of it at all. This is sad, because proper physical movement can add a wonderful element to your presentations.
In fact, I've heard that body language is the best way to communicate.
Even with people you don't know.
Here are seven ways to include better physical movement into your presentations:
1) Be Aware of What You Are Already Doing
You can’t make something better until you know how well (or poorly) you are currently doing it. Your first step, therefore, is to take stock of how you are currently using your body when you speak.
What I do is RECORD everything so I can critique myself later.
Pretty darn impressive when you think about it. I mean you get to watch yourself on camera. How cool is that.
You can’t just think about it and assume you know. Quite often, we do many things unconsciously. Your best bet is to have someone videotape you delivering a real live presentation (not just one you are practicing at home or in your office). If that’s not possible, you can record yourself during practice. You can also ask someone to watch and give you feedback.
Even if you go with one of those options, make sure to videotape yourself live as soon as you can. And then watch it. Yes, this is hard, but you will learn more by simply recording and watching yourself then you will from “thinking about” your speech.
As you watch, make notes of how you do and don’t move. When I did this, I was stunned by how I swayed back and forth. Just realizing that I was doing it was enough to make me pay attention and stop.
2) Move Between Your Points
The simplest way to start adding movement to your presentation is to coordinate it with your speaking points. As you move from point to point, you can also move from spot to spot on the stage.
For example, if you are delivering your first point from the center of the stage, when you finish that point, pause, take two steps to the right, plant yourself, and then start your next point.
This may not seem like much, but this simple technique helps you remember to move and also gives the audience a visual indicator that you are switching topics.
Kind of like doing it automatically.
Pretty darn cool in my opinion.
3) Exaggerate When You Practice
When you practice your presentation (you are practicing, right?) you should exaggerate your movements.
Most speakers, when they get in front of a live audience, tend to “pull back” a little bit. The think they are moving a lot, but in fact they are moving in a very minimal way.
By exaggerating when you practice, you make sure that when you get live and pull back that your movements are still visible and comfortable for the audience.
4) Put Down the Notes
I am not one those people who has a big problem with a speaker using notes during their presentation. However, when used improperly, notes can be a huge impediment to your physical movement.
Be careful.
If you hold notes while you speak, two things may happen:
1. You will hold the notes in both your hands in front of you. This locks your arms at your side and forces you into a boring, stiff posture. If you are holding your notes, you can’t really move your arms and hands, can you?
2. You will keep looking straight down at the notes. This reinforces the stiff posture, and also makes it harder for you to make good eye contact. Eye contact is its own topic, but when it comes to physical movement, the simple act of making eye contact with different audience members can help you move. Also, when you keep glancing straight down, you project a weak, hunched over posture.
That's bad for anyone, especially if you're doing it in front of me, a
chiropractor.
Try to go without notes. If you must use notes, leave them on the lectern or table so you can refer to them if you need to. If you feel you absolutely must hold on to them, at least hold them in only one hand.
I like to do what Steve Jobs did.
Use pictures to prompt you.
Doing that makes it easy.
5) Pre-Plan and Practice a Few Moves in Advance
If you are new to this, don’t try to add physical movement to every moment of your talk. Instead, think through your talk and pick out a few moments when you could add in a little physical movement.
It could be moving between points. It could be acting out a bit of dialog (see next point). It could be using your hands to make a point. At first, it’s not as important what you do as it is that you try something.
Pick a few moments, practice them, and then incorporate them into your live speech. Afterward, review how those movements felt and whether you felt they worked for the audience (videotape is a great tool to help with this). Then you can edit, add, or delete movements for the next speech.
6) Act Things Out
You don’t need to turn your presentation into a one-person theater show, but when you are telling stories (you are telling stories, right?) you should use a little movement to paint a picture for the audience.
If you are talking about an angry patient, slightly act-out the angry patient. If you are talking about a time you were working on the computer, show us yourself working on the computer. If you’re telling us about a big door you came across, use your hands to give us a sense of the size of the big door.
The easiest place to add in a few act-outs is when relaying a conversation. When you share a conversation you were part of with the audience, turn your body slightly back and forth as you switch between characters. Not only does it help the audience keep track of who is saying what, but they also find it more interesting and entertaining.
7) Be Deliberate
The biggest KEY to using physical movement effectively is to make sure that all of your movements are deliberate. People who don’t move effectively usually never give any thought to it at all, so it is clearly not deliberate.
The first step is to be aware of what you are doing. Not just after the fact (as stated in point #1) but during your speech. Whether you move or not, it should be a conscious choice, and not just an automatic reflex you have no control over.
It takes time and practice to get to a point where you are able to be aware of all your movements as you do them, especially if you are obsessing over remembering what you need to say!
Your best bet, therefore, is to make sure you know your material well. If you are confident and familiar with your speech, then your mind will be much freer to focus on other things, such as your physicality.
With time and practice, you will eventually get to a point where being aware of your movements is something you do automatically and naturally. When that happens, you will be well on your way to being a powerful and effective speaker!
Don't forget.
It always takes practice to be good.
At anything.
Be good, be safe and think about marketing.

Dr. Carney
What differentiates you from everyone else?
I've got to tell you, if you're not doing this, you're
missing out on making more money and developing better
relationships with your customers/patients/clients.
I could write a book on this, but most people start this,
then they just more or less forget and then they don't
do it.
Here's the deal.
A hand-written note differentiates your business
from every other business.
So what's that info worth?
Thousands and thousands of dollars.
Literally.
I always make it a practice to send out hand-written
thank you notes to everyone I meet at events.
I like hand- written notes, because they're a physical
manifestation of you to that potential client, strategic
partner or referral source.
A hand-written note sets the tone for your office.
Hand-written notes also differentiate you from most
other businesses.
That's a huge wake up call if you ask me.
Ask yourself when the last time you received a hand-written
note from someone you met at a business setting was?
Quite simply, hand-written correspondence is a wonderful
way to build your business.
When I say build your business, I am not just referring
to acquiring new customers.
I am also referring to keeping the customers you have!
That's important if you're in business.
Have a great day.
And write, write, write.

I just checked...
8:01 PM
I know that I did a pretty good job
last year writing blog posts, but...
I was good enough to write about 229 of them.
Based on that... I decided at the first of the year
to WRITE at least one a day for 2012.
And as always, things in life seem to slow you down
and get in the way if you will.
That's why it's important to write your goals
down so you can step up your game... if you need
to.
And believe you me...
I have to step it up.
If you've been following my posts, I'll make it
up, and I am going to reach that 365 post mark
by December 31st of 2012.
There is so much information out there I wish I
could read, but time is always a limiting factor.
but don't worry, I'll make sure I get these done.
Have a great year.
Focus on your goals...
and make them happen.
Best of luck...

Are You Selling Or Are They Buying?
Are You Selling Or Are They Buying is a GREAT headline.
But it's something you definitely need to think about.
Seth Godin, a standup marketer has pointed out that there are products that are “bought”, and there are products that are “sold”.
Here’s an example:
-Ice cream is bought.
-Life insurance is sold.
Seth’s point was: knowing which one YOU offer.
My point is: decide to offer products that are Bought, thereby bypassing the need for Selling altogether.
This doesn’t mean, by the way that no storytelling (copywriting) is required.
Apple products are bought, but stories are told just the same.
The “little hinge that swings big doors”: it’s often the storytelling that fuels the buying.
Think about that and then read the headline of this article blog again.

I'm behind but you're going to love this...

Monday
January 23m 2012
Wow.
Time is flying by.
I've got to get organized here or I'm going to
get way, way behind.
I've been reminded that I need to make these everyday
if I'm going to reach my goal of 365 posts this year.
If you've never went back to the front and read
all my posts, you've missed out on some vital
information.
but hey...
that's on you.
I'm just here to write and share.
Here's something I found today that I think you'll
love.
Read it and hopefully I'll get more of these written
or at least some frickin' videos or what I like.
Build your house well!
Hmmm, kind of a neat thought huh?
Most of us now live, or have lived, in a house of some type. Hopefully that house had the modern features of electricity, indoor plumbing, and hot and cold running water.
I remember when I was small, which was a long time ago, when I went to my grandma's, we had to go outside to an outhouse. BRRR, it was cold on my behind when I did that. Whew.
Anyway...
And while that is nice, there is another house that you are building that is far more important. I trust that the building materials you are using to build your own personal experience are of the nature and substance that will give you an absolutely great life!
There is this story that is told of a very wealthy man who decided to build a beautiful house.
His best friend was a builder, so the wealthy man asked him if he would build a house for him.
He told the builder that he wanted the house to be made of the finest materials that money could buy.
He wanted incredibly beautiful floors made of marble, the most expensive chandeliers, decorative stained glass windows and stunning oak doors.
The wealthy man told his friend to spare no expense because he wanted the house to be a beautiful place to live and enjoy.
Soon the building was underway.
However, the builder decided to cut costs and use substandard materials.
He also used second-hand items that he cleaned and polished to look like new.
He found old shingles and put them on the house.
He found wood that was very poor quality, but covered it with several coats of paint. The pipes he used were old and worn out, but he reasoned that no one would know because they would be hidden inside the walls and underneath the house.
He continued to build the house, cutting corners and doing everything in his power to save money. Yet, he always charged his friend the highest price for everything he used.
One day the job was complete and on the surface it looked great. The very wealthy man walked through the house, looking at everything, and was very pleased. His builder friend told him how he had spared no expense and had only used the finest materials and the best quality goods of everything he could find.
Suddenly, the wealthy man said to his friend, "I have a surprise for you! I have always admired your building ability and you have been a dear friend to me.
So, the reason I wanted you to build this beautiful house is because I am giving it to you as a gift.
I want this to be your house!
The builder's heart sank.
He could hardly believe what he was hearing.
Rather than having a beautiful house built with wonderful materials, he knew in his heart that what he had built would not last very long. It looked nice on the surface, but because of the inferior quality, it was only a matter of time before everything would begin to break, fall apart and collapse. The builder was sick! He realized that the only person he had short-changed was himself.
I heard that story years ago and have never forgotten it.
The truth in it has been a guiding force in my life.
It taught me that whatever I do needs to be of good effort and top quality - otherwise, it will surely come back to haunt me, in time.
I was also taught that the most important building that I would ever build would be my own life.
I was encouraged to get a good education. I was challenged to study everything from theology to business, money and finance.
I was taught to be a thoughtful, kind and loving person to family and friends. I was encouraged to always have a good, positive attitude.
I was taught to work hard and help others reach their goals and dreams in the process. Have I done all of that perfectly?
Absolutely not!
But, I know that those are the materials for building a successful life.
Let me encourage you to build your life with the best materials possible.
Go out of your way to be kind and encouraging to other people, but don't let them walk all over you. If you know you're doing the right thing, then just do it.
Always have a good word and a smile for those with whom you meet. You never know what people are going to say about you, and so you always want to say good things about other people.
Learn about business principles and how money works. It's hard in business sometimes and people will try and take advantage of you, so don't forget about the man and his house I just talked about.
Study things with which you are not familiar in order to learn and grow in your own personal life.
Build your business, family, health, and career in a way that is not only pleasing to yourself, but to all those with whom you come in contact.
If you have a business, make it the best you can. Personalize it and people will see you're a giving person and you only want the best for them. Not all will see your efforts, but you never know who'll commend you on your efforts. When they do, you'll know it was all worth it.
I don't know where you are on this journey of life today.
You may be at the beginning.
You might be in the middle.
Or, you might be close to the end of your journey.
Doesn't matter.
Regardless of where you are, build your life with quality materials and you will become the person you were meant to be.
Build your house well! Build your life well. Hey if you make a few mistakes, who cares. In 50 years no one will care most likely so go ahead and do it.
Have a great week! God bless you!
Dr. Carney
P.S. Sometimes I've found out that life is great. Sometimes it's not, but hey GOD never promised me it would always be GREAT. But that's life right? Enjoy it and move on if something like that happens.

You Can Do This As Well...
January 10, 2012
Tuesday
Time is marching on
I'm getting older and
my posts are getting slower.
Hey there,
All kidding aside, time is moving on.
I was surfing the web and I ran across this
story and thought I'd just more or less copy
and paste it and make my comments along the way.
Hope you don't mind but I think the ideas
and the concept in this post are important
if you want to learn more about business, and
yourself.
When Castro and his Communist regime took
over Cuba, the socialist system replaced
free enterprise and many successful people
were devastated.
I wasn't very old but hey, I remember Castro
if that dates me.
Carlos Arboleya, an accounts officer for
one of the largest banks in Cuba, was one
of them that was devastated.
In 1960, shortly after Castro took over,
Carlos arrived at work and discovered that
all private banks had been taken over by the
Communists.
The government there took over control of the
banks. Not a good thing.
Three weeks later he was able to get himself,
his wife and his small son out of Cuba.
That was a smart move on his part.
The only problem was, Carlos arrived in America
with only $42 in cash. He was unemployed, had
no place to stay, and did not know a single person
in Miami.
Again, not the best situation.
He sought employment by going to every bank
Miami but all of them turned him down.
He did try them all apparently, but he didn't
give up.
He finally found a job in a shoe factory, taking
inventory.
Not the best job in the world, but a good start.
He had to do something and that was to get some
money coming in.
Carlos worked with enthusiasm and with enormous
energy as he put in countless extra hours.
That's something a lot of people are not willing
to do these days.
but...
Results were spectacular and within sixteen months
he was manager of the shoe company. Not bad for someone
in sixteen months.
A short time later he was offered a job at the bank
where the shoe company did business.
From there he moved into the presidency of the
largest chain of banks in America.
Oh yeah, the presidency.
Carlos Arboleya did what he had to do (provide for
his family) by taking a job he was over-qualified
for and eventually landed the job he desired.
Sometimes life just works that way.
Something happens and you think it's the worst thing
that could ever happen, when in reality GOD has taken
over, and has a plan. That's what most people forget.
There's always a plan.
Just follow the plan.
May not seem right at the time, but it's a good plan.
Carlos proved that it is not where you start but that
you start that counts.
You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start
to be great.
Carlos’ story is simply a vignette in the overall
picture of America, the land where anyone who will
apply him or herself, and strive for that education,
can move forward to unique successes.
FACT: This is evidenced by the fact that 80% of all millionaires
in America are first-generation Americans. Think about it,
give it your best shot!
Hey maybe I'm back on track.
I'm trying and at least I'm doing something to get me
started.
Get it?
Talk later. Maybe even today.

I think I'm still on track... for 365 blog posts
I may be a little behind but I'm always
prompted by a good friend of mine to do
my best.
So, another friend of mine sent me this
video after I sent him a link to something
that could change the way you use your time.
Anyway, here's what he sent me back.
I like it so much, I'm going to share it
with you in reference to what this blog
is and what it means to me.

I'm getting it done.
January 6th, 2011
I should have six posts to stay on track
this year.
That's my goal.
Make a post everyday on average and that will
give me at least 365 posts for 2012.
I think this is number four or five, so I've
got to stay focused and get busy.
This is truly amazing.
just goes to show you what can be done if you put
your mind to something and do it.
That's my best motto from NIKE.
Just do it.
I like it and it works for me.
Doesn't matter if it's perfect, or right,
just get 'er done.
Dr. Carney
PS This might be considered outrageous marketing
because if you can get over a million people to
your town with something like this, it's going to
generate income.

I know, I know I forgot the song... darn it.
Well I was in a hurry so I forgot.
Here's the song.
Dr. Carney
Here's the song.
Dr. Carney
yeah............ Now I'm ahead of the game.
I love this song
because of what it says.
It motivates me to become
that special person that
has what he wants, does what
he wants, and does it with
whom he wants.
Pretty simple and it works
for me.
What are your goals?
Have a great day.
Dr. Carney.
I'll be writing more about
marketing once the year gets
revved up.
Be watching for it.

My goal for this blog for 2012
Write at least an average of one
blogpost per day.
That means I want to write at least one
of these per day.
Average.
So this way I can miss a day or two or
even three, but still come back and write
more so I eventually have an average of
one blog written per day.
That's my goal.
One of them anyway.
Talk later.

setting GOALS for the New Year 2012
The SECRET to setting goals.
Yeah I'm sure you're reading this even
if you set some goals or you haven't set
one goal.
But think about this.
Goal SETTING is easy.
Really easy.
This is why so many people set goals.
Here's where it gets real.
Goal ATTAINMENT is tricky.
Yes tricky.
This is why so few people achieve their
goals after they set them in the New Year.
If you want to know the SECRET to goals,
keep reading.
Let me just show you the difference.
Goals:
The difference between goal setting
& goal attainment
* Goal setting is fun, liberating and can
be completed in an hour or less.
* Goal attainment is fun, but requires ongoing
commitment and a lot of work, sometimes often
over a period of many years.
Depends if you're talking short term or long
term goals. You may want to become a millionaire
but for most people that won't happen in a
single year.
It can, but for the most part, it doesn't.
The initial set of goals, which take some people
from poverty to financial security for life, probably
only took them around 45 minutes to commit to paper.
Yes this is the part where they actually SET their
goals.
The work required to make some goals real though, may take
years to achieve, while others can be made real by year's
end.
Goal attainment can cause you to stretch more than
anything in your life. It requires you to leave YOUR
comfort zones and stop blaming your past, for your future.
It can be the hardest, most fulfilling work you have ever
done and you should continue to set new goals all the time.
Reach a short term goal, then set another.
Want to know the secret sequence:
Set your goals, then do the work.
That’s the secret to goal attainment.
simple but not easy.
Have a great 2012.
